Women In Development (WID) was first established in January 1994 to improve the lot of the average rural Ghanaian woman who is often left out of the government’s economic development programs. The aim of the program is to improve economic opportunities for women entrepreneurs and their households. This has been achieved through teaching of technical and vocational programs, coaching and mentorship, health education and access to affordable and sustainable finance.
